Mission Statement  

Corpus Christi Catholic School provides a Christ-centered Catholic education by encouraging students to become self-directed learners with a passion for the Gospel and for building a just and compassionate world through service to God and others.

Belief Statements

1. We believe that students, faculty/staff and parents are Corpus Christi, the Body of Christ, in the service of one another and of those in need.
2. We believe that by educating children in spirituality, scholarship and service, they will grow to be the best version of themselves, prepared for leadership and service in the world of tomorrow, using the unique gifts given to them by God.
3. We believe that providing an education grounded in the Gospel, in a Christ-centered environment, fosters wisdom and promotes growth and personal responsibility in students.
4. We believe that academic excellence is achieved through individual self-direction, self-discipline and a deep sense of personal responsibility, guided by excellent educators.
5. We believe that all students can achieve success by meeting appropriate challenges with focused determination and a commitment to excellence.
6. We believe that respecting the dignity of all persons creates a nurturing, welcoming and compassionate community.
7. We believe in intentional stewardship through which students connect to all of God’s creation and to the global community, allowing them to become agents for systemic change wherever needed and thus play a part in the transformation of the world.

Corpus Christ Catholic School was established in 1964 as a ministry of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. In September of that year, teachers welcomed 96 students in grades one through four. Kindergarten was added in 1965 to provide students with a solid academic start. In 1974, diplomas were conferred on 29 students, the first ever graduates from Corpus Christi Catholic School. This small, inconspicuous school, that is nestled among the oak trees in Temple Terrace, has seen over 1,000 young men and women graduate and go on to high school. The vast majority of these went on to graduate from Tampa Catholic High School, the Academy of the Holy Names and Jesuit High School. The seeds planted at Corpus Christi Catholic School have blossomed into great things for many of its graduates. Corpus Christi continues to maintain a strong culture for learning, always rooted in its Catholic  identity.
